TGF Card for Kyleigh

It has been a crazy past few days around here. I have not been able to post all of the projects and swaps that I did, like an altered paintbrush, altered witch hat and coffin, or the altered muffin tin. I have been so busy between all the swaps I joined and the girls...not to mention job hunting and day care looking also.  I did find a job and I start in 2 weeks and found an amazing at home day care for Kenzie to go to.  So with everything that has gone on, Kyleigh needed a little cheering up. So I made her this card one day while she was at school and put it on her bed for her to see when she got home. She loved it!!  I used TGF birthday Anya stamp,  Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic 6x6 paper, bling trim, a sentiment from a digital Saturated Canary image, and 2 rhinestones that were clear until I colored them with my copics. I love how this card turned out. I am also going to enter this card into the lovesrubberstamps challenge this week, which is to use 1 image, 2 designer papers, and 3 embellishments.  Wish me luck :)

Kyleigh's 3rd Grade Teacher Card

So it is that time of year already...back to school.  Many schools have already begun, but ours starts on Friday!!!  Kyleigh is entering 3rd grade, which means new school this year.  She will be going into the intermediate school for the first time.  I cant believe how fast time has gone!  So I decided that since last year I made her teacher a card for almost all of the special days during the school year...even a Congratulations card when she told the class she was expecting...that I wanted to start this school year off with a card.  I used a Recollections corrugated card, Echo Park's Paper and Glue 6x6 paper, and LaLaLand Crafts' Travel Marci.  I colored the image in with my copics, I wanted to make it look more back to school than travel, so I continued the primary colors from the paper over to the image.  I also used an old Sizzix die for the Rolodex cards that I cut the blue and yellow papers with.  The flowers are from a seller off of Facebook, the scissors and apple are Studio Calico wood veneers I colored to match the card using my Copics.  I like how the card came out...the real critique will come tomorrow morning when I show Kyleigh!!

Unity Oh Snap Card

I have had this stamp forever and hadnt usedit yet. I too became in love with the whole camera fad that is going on in the world of papercrafting.  I used my copics to color in the camera stamped image from Unity Stamp Co. I used 6x6 paper from an Echo Park paper pad, and Stampin Up cardstock for the card base and layers. I love the bright colors of this card.  I also just cut some scrapcardstock that I had left over to make a polaroid photo cut out. I really like how this card came out!

TGF Queen Bean Card

So anyone that knows me, knows that I am obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. So it was no surprise that when The Greeting Farm released their Wonderland collection I just had to have them all!!! This set of stamps are completely hoard worthy and I have triedto use them but they are just so supercute that I was afraid to. Lol.   Simon say stamp is having an AllStar challenge where you need to use your AllStar stamps....well even though I have not used these as much as I should, these are definitely my AllStars! Here is a link to the challenge... http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/challenge-stamping-all-stars/. I am also entering this card in the LovesRubberstamps weekly challenge.

So here is the card that I made using my Queen Bean stamp, Love Me 6x6 paper pad by MME, Large Scalloped Circle Spellbinders, Bewitched 4x6 paper, and Stampin Up cardstock. I colored the image with my copic markers and used my red and black Spica pens  to add some extra glitter.

My entry for Loves Rubberstamps Challenge

I saw a video on Youtube about a great site called Loves Rubberstamping Challenge blog.  I went and checked out the site and decided I wanted to enter their challenge this week which is "your fave color combo".   Lately I have been really liking yellow and white, I have done several pronects with this color combo and decided to try it while making a card.  So here is my entry.....I used MFT Pure Innocence Daisy stamp, some leftover MME 6x6 paper, IAR flowers, and some Recollections bling.

Altered Bird House

Finally posting a project!!! I made this cute little birdhouse with the Prima Divine paper pad, Prima Rondelle collection fkowers, a fabric doily, and some Tattered Angels Pink Cadillac Glimmer Mist.  The roof is actually strips that I punched out using an EK Success scallop border punch. I inked the edges of all of the papers and the sides of the birdhouse with Distress Marker in Stormy Sky.  The birdhouse itself is from Michaels, it is made of the MDF board.  The feather on the top came from the kid's craft section at Michaels as well. I am fully embracing this whole Shabby Chic style now :) i have the birdhouse in my scrapbook room on top of a silver pillar candle holder, and it looks great! Cant wait to play with the other birdhouses I have!

Hello....................I'm back!!!!!!!

Hello everyone, so alot has happened since my first and only blog entry here.  I ended up going back to school for Early Childhood Education and just finished my first semester back.  I have to give myself a pat on the back because I ended up having to go back full time and walked out at the end of the semester with a 3.91 GPA! So proud of myself, juggling the girls and all of their activities, a full class schedule, observation hours, and some side work. It was a juggling act at times, but totally worth it, especially since i will be graduating next June!

Ok, so enough about me :) the girls are doing amazing. Kenzie is now a year old and starting to walk. Kyleigh is finishing up the 2nd grade and then will be starting cheerleading during the summer.  These girls are what gets me through my days, they are my life, my inspiration...my past, present, and future :) ♡

I am still posting videos on Youtube, although I sometimes think that Kenzie takes over the camera!  I decided to take the summer off from school so I am hoping to get a lot of great projects done.  My "to do" list is growing by the day!  Well that is it for now, I promise I wont
go on another hiatus this time around!
